New Pictures!

So I got a new external flash for my camera. I have not been able to take any decent shots indoors, but this flash will allow me to do so. Here is my first attempt at indoor shots with my new flash.

Downtown Raleigh Trip

We decided to go to Raleigh for the day. We walked around the Capital for a while and walked Fayettville Street, which was a major disappointment. I don't get the hype about that area, at all. We did have a great lunch at a place called The Oxford. I you are ever in that area we would highly suggest the short rib sandwich. Yum!

Anyway, we headed to the museums from there. We went to the History Museum for only a brief amount of time. It was pretty boring. Then we headed to the Museum of Natural History. We had a much better time there. For some reason Liam didn't seem all that interested in either place. Go figure.

Baby Dedication Day!

Today is Mother's Day. What a wonderful day it has been. We had lots of visitors to come see Liam's baby dedication at church this morning. He did a wonderful job on stage as hands were laid on us and prayers were said to have Liam raised in a Christian household. Thank you so much to all who came to support Liam, Julie and I today. It truly means so much to us.

All the family came back to the house and had a good lunch after church. Julie and I will be eating the leftovers of that meal for a week. Everyone was very sweet to Julie and brought her a 1st Mother's Day gift.

After everyone left, Liam and I took us a nice little nap on the chair in the living room, as evidenced below. From there we went in the back yard and tried to get some pictures of him in his baby dedication outfit. Here they are.

A Few Pics from Weeks 1 and 3

Here are a few pictures from the first few weeks Liam was with us. The first is at the hospital with me trying to comfort him while his lower lip was quivering. The second is from week three after getting him home. I just thought these were cute, so I figured I'd share.

New Pictures

We had a really good weekend. I was able to finish putting in our patio Saturday morning, and then we went out to eat with our good friends John and Amanda. It was a really good meal with even better company. It is really nice to spend time with other adults and carry on normal conversation. And besides, Liam was fixated on Amanda, which kept him nice and quiet.

This morning I had a revelation that I love this little guy more and more each and every day. I just can't believe he is ours...forever...

Anyway, back on topic. We went to the flea market in Raleigh this morning to see if we could find any props for our next photography session with Sarah in a few weeks. The only thing we found was this old crate. We got home and we took some photos to see what we could come up with. Here is what we got.
